The wind turbine for your backyard:

Wind Tree uses tiny silent blades to generate electricity from light breezes. Aeroleaves generate electricity in wind speeds as low as 7km/h regardless of the wind direction. This can provide enough power to supply 15 street lamps or one electrical car for 1,360km over the course of a year.

Shortage of farm workers to pick strawberries:

Agrobot is a Spanish company that has developed an innovative way to pick strawberries. Their SW 6010 harvester uses cameras to analyze and select only the ripest berries. The robot reduces harvesting costs by 50% for fresh strawberries and up to 90% for industrial strawberries, which are the ones used for the manufacturing of purees and yogurts.

A cool idea for smart cities: One "CityTree" filters the city air as much as 275 trees.

Green City Solutions is a biotech and IoT startup leading the way in the business of air pollution reduction.
